About Credelio Plus

Credelio Plus by Elanco is a palatable oral veterinary chewable tablet that combines Lotilaner (isoxazoline ectoparasiticide) and Milbemycin Oxime (macrocyclic lactone anthelmintic) to deliver comprehensive parasite protection for dogs in a single monthly dose.

It provides combined protection against external parasites (fleas and ticks) and selected internal parasites (roundworms, hookworms and whipworms). When administered monthly as directed by a veterinarian, it also helps prevent heartworm and lungworm disease.

Select the Correct Weight Variant

Weigh your dog accurately before selecting a variant. Each tablet is formulated for a specific weight range. Do not split or combine tablets without veterinary guidance.

For dogs over 45 kg, consult a veterinarian for an appropriate combination of tablets.

Parasite Coverage

Fleas

Treats infestations caused by Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis. Kills existing fleas within 6 hours and newly acquired fleas within 4 hours. Persistent killing activity for one month. May be used as part of a flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) treatment strategy.

Ticks

Treats infestations caused by Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus, Ixodes hexagonus and Dermacentor reticulatus. Kills existing Ixodes ricinus within 8 hours. Persistent tick-killing activity for one month. Note: ticks must attach and begin feeding before exposure to lotilaner; the possibility of tick-borne disease transmission cannot be completely excluded.

Gastrointestinal Worms

Treats selected stages of roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum) and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis). Repeat deworming frequency should be determined by a veterinarian.

Heartworm Prevention

Monthly administration helps prevent heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis. Does not kill adult heartworms. Dogs in heartworm-risk areas should be tested before starting preventive treatment.

Lungworm Prevention

Monthly administration helps prevent angiostrongylosis by reducing infection with Angiostrongylus vasorum. A veterinarian should determine when prevention should begin based on local risk and the dog's exposure to slugs and snails.

Dosage and Administration

1. Weigh the dog accurately.
2. Select the correct weight variant.
3. Administer one complete tablet with or after food.
4. Ensure the entire tablet has been consumed.
5. Do not divide or split the tablet.
6. Administer at monthly intervals when ongoing protection is required.

Important Safety Information

• For veterinary use in dogs only. Do not use in cats.
• Use only under the guidance of a registered veterinarian.
• Do not use in animals allergic to lotilaner, milbemycin oxime or any tablet ingredient.
• Use in puppies under 8 weeks or under 1.4 kg requires a veterinary benefit-risk assessment.
• Follow the recommended dose strictly in MDR1-mutant dogs (e.g. Collies and related breeds).
• Safety not established in pregnant, lactating or breeding dogs.
• Inform the veterinarian of all medicines the dog is currently receiving.
• Lotilaner and milbemycin oxime may interact with P-glycoprotein substrates and other macrocyclic lactones.
• Keep out of sight and reach of children. Wash hands after handling.

Reported adverse events may include: vomiting, diarrhoea, reduced appetite, lethargy, itching, behavioural changes, muscle tremors, incoordination, convulsions. Contact a veterinarian immediately if any unexpected reaction occurs.

Heartworm Precautions

• Test the dog for circulating heartworm antigens and microfilariae before starting treatment in a heartworm-risk area.
• Do not use as a treatment for adult heartworms.
• Dogs with existing infection may require separate adulticide treatment.
• Administration to dogs with large numbers of circulating microfilariae may cause hypersensitivity reactions.
